I didn't come into property renovation from the outside. I came up through the trade — qualified electrician, NICEIC registered, and ran my own renovation company as a director for a decade. We held Federation of Master Builders membership and TrustMark approval, which in the UK means something — it's not a badge you buy, it's a standard you're held to. Alongside that, I spent years in senior operations management at a world renowned airline, which gave me a different kind of discipline: the kind where process, accountability and communication aren't optional extras, they're how you function.

Between those two worlds, I learned what it actually takes to deliver something properly and perhaps more importantly, I learned exactly what happens when someone doesn't.

Prior to moving to Dubai earlier this year, I wasn't looking to start a business. I was looking at the market with genuine curiosity — the extraordinary real estate, the ambitious homeowners and investors, the significant projects. What I kept hearing, again and again, was a version of the same story. Communication issues, projects delayed and finishes that didn't match an accepted standard. Clients who felt they had no real visibility, no real recourse, and no one genuinely fighting their corner.

None of that surprised me. I've seen what happens on a project when there's no independent oversight and where the pressure is to move fast and do an average job. The difference is — I know what to look for.
